The Internet Goes Nuts for Beyoncé’s New Video “Formation”

Beyoncé surprised her fans again. Without a warning of any kind, she released a new song “Formation”. She also shot the music video for the song and made it available on her husband Jay Z’s Tidal, where you can stream and download it for free.

The “Formation” is her first song since “Beyoncé: Platinum Edition” tracks were released in 2014, and it is already a banger! It’s for sure one of the most quotable songs you’ve recently heard. Don’t’ hesitate to use one of these quotes on your t-shirt ASAP: “I’m so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress”, “Paparazzi catch my fly and my cocky fresh”, “ I got hot sauce in my bag, swag”, “ I came to slay, bitch”, “I twirl on them haters”, or “ Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper.’

Like the single itself, the “Formation” video is likely to become iconic because of its powerful visual messages. A Grammy-winning director, Melina Matsoukas, who already made eight other music videos for the gorgeous Queen Bay, shot this video. The clip is set in New Orleans. It’s far more politically direct than Beyoncé’s previous works, and it puts focus on black culture and police brutality.

However, the major highlight in the video is absolutely adorable Beyonce and Jay Z’s 4-year-old daughter Blue Ivy!

To promote “Formation” Beyonce posted several images and short videos on her Instagram:
